Catherine Malandrino! I have had a few of her pieces and they are always gorgeously made, usually silk. The 1940s gabardine blouse with the wide cords! If only I were built like a tall model!

A wonderful collection, Kari! I hope everything sells fast!🤘

Do you have blouses or dresses of hers? Or both? This was my first time becoming aware of the label but now I've got my eyes peeled because the craftsmanship of this blouse so impressed me!

I used to wear a lot of Catherine Malandrino for fancier business meeting days, when I worked for a publishing company in SoHo during my early 20s. That was at the dawn of the 2000s! I still have a pea-soup green mohair blend sweater with a wide scoop neck and poet’s sleeves that I’ve held onto all these years, because it truly is a beautiful piece. I don’t wear it often but will probably keep it forever!

Wow, that sweater sounds spectacular! I can see why you held onto it. Thanks for sharing some of your early career memories in SoHo, thats a wonderful image.

Not anymore, but I see them occasionally. I bought my mother-in-law a velvet lounge set a couple of years ago from a store here that resells wholesale samples (both pieces were under $10 apiece on final clearance); I owned a silk blouse by her for a few years, and paid $16.95 for it. The good stuff (early 00s, I think) is mostly silk.
